"Death's Door is an experience like no other. Who knew that preparing for death would bring me so much closer to appreciating the green of the trees, the joy of birds, the beauty of breezes, the people I love? The music and the poetry, as well as Kim's unique use of Zoom to gain intimacy, opened me beyond what I could have imagined."
"Kim brings her most astonishing oration and insights to this crucial subject in a way that immediately presences us to our everyday losses and reorients us in our journey of aging. This offering, rare in beauty and profundity, has the potential to reframe the way you live and love through loss."

This course, designed for both new and returning participants, is a unique opportunity to turn toward our losses and the inevitable freedom and aliveness that follows when we do.
Through an immersive alchemy of poetry, music, movement, guided explorations, and deep, authentic sharing, we will dive ever more intimately into themes touched in the original series interwoven with new explorations. Saying goodbye, opening to incapacity; meeting “everyday deaths”, making peace with our bodies; practicing the “art of losing”; asking for help; and welcoming not knowing as a portal to vibrant aliveness — these are a few of the realms we’ll explore.
Kim has been drawn to the mystery of death since she wrote her first poem about it at the age of seven. Since then she has held friends and family members in her arms as they took their last breath, and she has practiced and taught the art of turning toward the many daily deaths that abound in a life fully lived. For four decades, she has been designing immersive environments that support deep and embodied self-inquiry.
In the last few years, Kim has innovated unique techniques of working with the Zoom video platform that allow for deep intimacy and authenticity with self and others through a lush immersion in music, poetry, movement and connection. As one workshop participant said, “This certainly is Zoom done different!”
Optional homework explorations, small groups, and partner explorations continue the conversation between gatherings. In addition, a workbook designed specifically for this course will further deepen the dive.
A NOTE ABOUT WHAT THIS IS NOT: This is not 3 hours entrained to your device. Much of the course will happen turned from the screen, lying down or in movement. It is an inner journey that will intentionally disrupt your relationship to the screen, because the primary focus is deep listening within.
Sessions will be recorded and posted to the group page and will be accessible after the session ends. HOWEVER, it is strongly suggested that you attend live as the course is highly experientiual and there is great beauty and benefit in exploring these inquiries in community.
**Tuition: $400
“The Death’s Door course was undoubtedly the most powerful and profound online series I’ve ever experienced. Invaluable for anyone dedicated to spiritual development.”
