Join me on World Poetry Day for this adventure into the connection and authenticity possible through the miracle of Zoom in alchemy with music, the poetry of the inner life, movement, writing, sharing -- all held in a strong vessel of ceremony and shared intention.
This is a unique inner dive designed to return you to the flow of feelings, awaken revelation and free creative expression. In a circle committed to authenticity, awakening and self-honesty, censorship falls away and all aspects of being, from the darkest to the brightest, are welcomed.
Human nature opens organically into the unknown, when held in a vessel of the (apparently) known. So the structure of the workshop, like a ceremony, will have the following shape. We begin with guided meditation, teaching and an opening ceremony. This is followed by a break and then a “Poetry Dive,” which is a form Kim has created that moves from movement to an immersion in poems spoken by Kim with powerful music, designed to allow you to journey in the shamanic medicine of word and rhythm, magnetizing your inner life to rise to the surface. The experience continues with spontaneous “blurt” writing. This is followed by optional sharing.
There will be a 10 minute break in the middle of the program
Please note: This is a different kind of online offing than many have experienced. It requires three and a half uninterrupted hours of your life. I request that you do not plan to multifocus and/or come and go. The experience is more like going to a compelling movie than a lecture, so please be prepared to go for the ride! There will usually be a 10 minute break in the middle. In addition, participants will be asked to allow themselves to be visible on Zoom at specific times during the workshop as a part of the process, if your internet connection allows for it.
What this is not: This is not 3.5 hours entrained to your device. It is primarily an audio journey. The focus is deep listening within.
